What fenders you getting?

Hey vdub. Thanks. I got my fenders from Frank Bear. They are the Chariot fenders he has on his web site. I had them powdercoated a gloss black. What do you think?

I just have them sitting on the tire in these pics. I am waiting on some fender welting so I can install them.

I've got one of those lights in my little guy. I've got the combo white and red ones. They're plenty bright. I can only imagine how bright two are if on at once!

Boy do I love what you're doing Bob!! An absolutely great job there buddy! You went with .060 aluminum on your roof and hatch; how hard was it to bend to the hatch curve? I'm looking to do the same. More pictures of your interior please!!! :D

All the best,

Dave

WOW, That is all I can think of to say. That is the style of trailer I hope to build one day. You, Dave, and Aggie (Tom) are the guys I hope to try to follow if and when I get to finally try this. Nice work, Jim

They seem to be just right. I'll find out soon. (First trip in a week or two.) :)

Sharon, I had planned on taking the Tintanac on our first trip, but the weather did not cooperate. Storms and tornadoes all weekend. :( I put the bed clothes in her to show it off a little at work. I have a few folks following my build there. :D

KC, thanks for the kind words. My door hardware is standard stuff. It is made by Schlage and I have seen hardware just like these at the box stores. I got mine at the flea market for ten bucks a piece. I had to use a 1/2 inch spacer inside the cabin to make them work.

Thanks Chris. I am very happy with the results so far.

I am sooooo glad to see you back at it, Dave. You know I'll be watching your progress. Man, that .060 stuff is tough to bend. For the roof, no problem. For the hatch it took a lot of very creative language to make it work. :x What it finally took was a 2 x4 clamped to the bottom edge of the sheet, then the one edge lifted off the table about three feet, and then pushed back down on itself until you get the angle you want. Then you trim the edge flush with the bottom of the hatch. My cut off was the perfect shape and dimension to use on the very bottom of the hatch space. I hope this makes sense to you, if not , PM me and I'll try to explain it better. I'll get some more pics of the interior for you tomorrow.

Thank you so much, Jim. When I think of a teardrop camper, this is what comes to my mind. It's a beautiful profile. ( Thanks Dave!) You have sure put me in some awsome company. Thanks again.
My thanks to all who have looked at my build. I still have some work to do. ;)
All the best,
Bob (& Reggie)
