1957 traveleze vintage trailer

Postby mvperini » Mon Oct 03, 2011 8:55 pm

I know it is not a tiny trailer  all i can say is the wife wanted a vintage trailer with a full bath, so here it is. i bought a 1957 20ft traveleze trailer. and will restore it over the winter months. the good news is it only cost $600 and the trailer has had the inside already restored and has been in storage for 8 years. I will have replace 1 outside panel already contacted a place in portland oregon and they will make it to match. the trailer needs to be painted and if any body has any information on the correct paint scheme please let me know. looks like it was painted with house paint so there could be original paint under it. Every thing works on the trailer. even has new holding tanks installed. I have already picked up a new axle and wheels and tires and will change them out this weekend before i bring it home will filp the axle to lower the trailer and i get to use my true spoke wheels i bought last summer

Thanks Doug, will have to replace all the tape around the edges and all the windows to be sure there are no leaks in the future. My step son called and has a new trailer axle i can have and my true spoke wheels will fit. so that problem is solved. just need to go and get it saturday and bring it home.
the only thing odd is the front window rock guard has a letter k on it most likly from a kenskill

this trailer is no longer in the mikes vintage trailer emporium. I gave it away to a friend of my step sons that needed a home to live in. so no need to fix this one up
