Danny:

How time flies when your having fun.
Like the slide show and of-course your workmanship.

Is there any weight differences in this unit as compared with your others?

That's a sweet build Danny. A 10 in my opinion.
Cheers

Thanks Jim & Paul :)
Hi Steve, thanks, it's been a long time. :shake hands:
The last 3 teardrops have all come in at 1200# on the axle and 130# on the tongue.
I really like the anodized aluminum on this one, should hold up very nice with less maintenance.

Danny,

As always, your latest teardrop is craftsmanship that we all strive to reach (although many of us don't come close.) Wonderful design and execution! :applause:

My teardrop has anodized aluminum also. I think you'll love it - no more stains, splotches, etc. (It's bird poop proof too!) I do occasionaly put a light coat of carnuba wax on it - just to make the dirt easier to wash off.

Take care,
Tom

Danny:
Do you have a source for 5' anodized aluminum?
In 2005 when mine was built ~ The builder couldn't get the 5' only the 4' for the sides.

I too like the anodized as it is trouble free compared to the standard aluminum skin.

Tom, thanks for your kind words. I'll keep in mind to try some wax on it.
If and when I make another one (see below) I'm thinking of going with the shiny anodized on the sides and the brushed (like this one) everywhere else.
First I got to see this one in the sunlight. :icedtea:
I don't want make a road hazard in the sun or headlights.

Jane has some projects lined up for me like a new smaller dining table and chairs.
Got to study up on chair making.

Steve, my supplier doesn't have anodized aluminum in 5' wide but it's not a problem.
I've been making a lap seam on the sides on the last 3 teardrops using 3M VHB tape.
I do contact cement my sheets to the walls.
The roof on this one has lap seams too, in the same manner as the sides.
You'll notice a slight color variation at the bottom of the sides in the teardrop in my signature line photo.
The darker mill finish aluminum was left over from teardrop #2 and is where the lap seam is.
I and others like the look.

Geez Danny, at the rate you're turning em out, it's hard for a body to keep up. Good thing Jane's got you busy on other things...

Geez Greg, you mean every two years is too quick of a rate?
It looks like you (and your dear wife) need to show up to more TOW gatherings
