This is the last piece for today. This is the main rib. It attaches to the sidewall, behind the door. The inside wall butts up against it. The main spar that holds the hinge is also attached to this rib. I'll have more pictures of this main rib maybe tomorrow.

Hey Mike I thought you were building a Weekender that looks more like the Escape hatch.

Mike Looks like you have the frame for a built on tongue box but don't show it in the profile drawing. Which way are you going to go attached or unattached. If you go attached don't put the door on the roof I'm still fighting leaks on that. ONly thing that I'd done different.

Hi Gary,

It's going to be an unattached box, similar to this: Image

Regarding the weekender, it was a toss up between that and the Escape Hatch. The Escape Hatch won! :BE :R

Having Built 2 I can understand why completely Mike. I'm still the biggest fan of this design.

I didn't seem to make as much progress today. I got the subfloor done. It threatened rain halfway through, so I had to put everything away. But it didn't rain. So I dug everything out again.

Here's the subfloor.

Then I started on the plywood for the floor. I was just starting the angled cut for the front, and the rain drops started. So I put everything away again, and no more progress today. Hopefully we have fewer distractions tomorrow!

Yes I did Jess, thanks for sharing all those profiles! Lots of good ideas! Your Sawtooth was the best though! :D

Have you started designing number 2 yet?

Sorry about the rain Mike, hope today is nicer.

So going with a flat floor on this one, no drop section?

Yep Shaun,

No dropped floor on this one. The Hatch goes high enough that I don't need a one.

Anyways, got the floor on today... I had one bench from the last build, so I set it in place to see if the inside is tall enough. Seems to be. But I'll stick a mattress in there and double check.

Image

Then we assembled a wall, and hung it in place to see how it looks...

Image

I like it! How about you guys? (The fender needs a little bit of work yet.)

It's looking good Mike. :applause: Keep it up and it could be campable by the 23rd.

I think that the fenders look good with the off road look of the trailer.
