OK folks... after a lot of nasty weather through the Carolina's... here are a few pictures of my progress this week. Back in full swing, I hope to be 99% done by sun down Monday!

Here are the fenders and toolbox being painted inthe back yard.. the oak tree special!

Here's the fenders and toolbox installed... tonight I wired up the battery and hooked up power for the first time!

Here's the galley view with the power on. The radio works great, pumps out great sound. I'm stoked!

Paint and vinyl flooring tomorrow... finish up some trim & electrical, then I'll be ready to head to Darlington in April!

I like the way you tied the blue from the outside into the cabinet panels.

Thanks KC... I spent the better part of 30 hours last weekend working on the tear and got it as close to finished as one could have done over the weekend. I have some punch list items to knock out and a faulty power converter, which Class-A-Customs is warrantying. Here are some pix, as promised from Monday night....

I have some pole support brackets being fabricated for the rear hatch and a mattress on the way. I keep finding little things to correct of finish but I suppose that'll take some time too to finish up! AlgoDan... Done Brother and thanks to everyone on here for your support. Mike and the staff of TNTTT.com, thank you kindly for what you do. This build would have never happened without the encouragement and experiences of those on this site. I'll put another post on next week highlighting my materials and costs... to help first times understand what they can expect. I started out saying this would be the first of two... well, when you end up with exactly what you want & need... I don't foresee a # 2!

You've put a lot of features in a very compact package and done it very well, indeed!!!

The execution throughout, and especially the wheel and tire choice give it a very modern professionally built appearance.

Well done. Ship it to the hall of fame and go camping! :applause: :applause:

Thanks KC. Like I said when I started, I didn't know how it would end as I didn't have any plans; I knew what I wanted in it though. Thanks for the compliments too. Fun to build, will be more fun to use!

OK... I've dropped in to check out the ole stomping ground and add an update. I've had the opportunity to use the teardrop 5-6 times and with great success. From 92* in the Carolina summer heat to 22* in November, on a church camp out with a group of teenagers! Works great!

The picture below is of Darlington Raceway and it's inaugural run! I slept on an Aerobed and it worked but have since converted it to a 8" thick, extra firm futon mattress by Seally Postrupedic. For the $199, it's by far the best bed I would have found to sleep on!

Additional notes-- for heat, I use a thermostatic electric plug and a 200W personal space heater in the cabin... works great in 20*-30* weather and holds good temps. I also have an electric blanket in the cabin to cover up with and it works great but I haven't needed to use it yet. I'll check back in the near future!

I plan on building another but not right now. Maybe next year, it'll be a Benroy 4x8, much more simplified than this one.
