Today I built most of the dinette and cleaned and painted my windows. The windows must have come off a canopy, the inside trim is designed for a thin wall so won't work for my application. My plan is to use the same oak trim I used around the inside of the door. Tomorrow I start painting my bottom color.

First coat of bottom color is on. Unfortunately it is 70 and raining, 90% humidity it won't be ready to put a second coat until midnight probably... I really don't want to clean my equipment, but not sure I can stay up that late! Looks pretty light, but it will darken up quite a bit.

Yea, not an original scheme, but I like it.

Mint Green? Nice color. We should use more of those colors and shades of green.

It's a little darker now that has dried. Was shooting for a color similar to my car. I like to call it light tundra.

That looks great! :applause:

Now just a very thin (relatively speaking...maybe 3/8 to 1/2 inch wide) pinstripe of a darker complementing color (a deep rich purple, or dark charcoal grey, maybe) over the line between the two colors would really set that off with a bang. Just a thought.

I like it.

Was planning on doing a thin black line to match the windows, but the green was much darker in our plan. I'll have to see what I can find, I like the dark charcoal, not to sure about purple. Thanks for the cudos! I am so excited, leaving for the beach on Tuesday for our first trip!

$5.00 windows, 4 hours of engineering and two trips to the store to get them installed!

Beautiful job on the paint! I love the two-color color scheme.

Can you say what type of paint you used and what type of gun you shot it with?

Thanks! I used a primer called First Coat" by Rodda, final paint is Cloverdale Eco Logic, it's a water based (low VOC) two part acrylic. I used an HVLP sprayer to spray it out.

Pinstriped yesterday, installed door handle and weather strip, and roof vent. I accidentally picked up a double stripe, but it looks great!

Probably the best accident you did on this trailer. I think the double stripe really works well, probably alot better than a single stripe would have looked.

That pin striping is one of those details that just adds that 'extra touch'.
It really amplifies that really nice paint job.

Cheers,
