by sheer luck, the shelf I had built was the exact width to allow the 2-way fridge to slide in. a little more boxing in the sides of the fridge on the interior and re-frame the exterior wall.

and I will need to rework the bench fronts on the street side.

yesterday I re framed the curb side wall to accommodate the 2 way fridge. I will make the panel removable for service. the panel will have upper and lower vents, and a 12v fan to increase efficiency of the coils. I still need to acquire some tubing for the drain and run those through the floor along with the gas supply line and run the 120v and 12v into the cabin and seal everything including the cracks up.

Today, I built out the window openings for the 4 port hole windows. and made the inner sill trim out of 1/4" ply and installed. one of the port hole windows still needs some sanding to make flush. I also started making the inner trim rings for the windows.

I managed to determine I need a larger amount of light weight body filler than 1 quart. I requested 1 gallon size for my upcoming birthday. Saturday was Mrs.Slug36 and my 2nd anniversary, so I planted a Lemon tree the has been wanting and transplanted her Arctic Lilly and Easter Lilly from the past few years. I also installed the flooring this weekend but, was unable to snap a good pic.

Is the blue going to be marine canvas (Sunbrella)? That will look classy!

nope, I am going to paint the top, front and rear to match my truck. it's a deep blue with pearl in it. when clean it almost looks black.

I also found some 13" smoothie trailer wheels, and am going to ditch the 12" wheels I have. I am thinking they will look good painted the same dark blue as the roof of the camper.

as if the compound corners for the roof to side walls weren't complicated enough. I went and threw this monkey wrench into the equation. the front box now has 2 compartments, the lower will be for propane storage and is vented through the bottom. the upper compartment will be for ???, sealed from the lower compartment.

the box is around 25"x 16" and goes all the way to the roof. the corners have a 6" radius. I think I have it mostly figured out.

I also have the curb side- side roof radius lath done.

I managed to get a lot of work done on the Pork Chop Express this long 4 day weekend. but nothing to wright home about. mostly working on the front seating/sleeping area and some work on the outside corners.

I managed to build and install the front bench area and upper bunk. I pulled a classic Slug uh oh on Saturday. My dad came over while I was making the front piece of the upper bunk. I measured the width at 5'-9", well Dad was asking me a Bazillion questions and I marked the width at 59", well I had spent a good amount of time making patterns for the ends of the bunk, and after climbing in and out of the camper for a hour or so fine tuning the patterns, I was a little scatter brained.

then Dad decided it was a good time to give me a good ribbing. He exclaimed that its a shame that he being a Draftsman, and having a son as a Draftsman, that there was not one drawing on the camper I was building. I told him that he should know me by now and know how I kinda go with the flow and "field modify to fit".

and my 12 year old Daughter decided it was time to bug me about being bored when I was starting to sand the 2nd piece of the upper bunk, well kiddo, here's the sander.
120657120656

and I must say she did a fine job with me rubbing a pencil down the board and her sanding the graphite off. after staining and poly, here is a little shot of the upper bunk.

man, I cant wait, another 3 day and I will have a 3 day weekend.

well, not much to brag about this weekend. I did a little work on the front roof corners and have the curb side ready for body filler, took a long nap Friday afternoon. Saturday I brought the family Salt Water fishing. Didn't catch squat, but it was nice to get out and do nothing except listen to the wind. today, I did however manage to figure out how to make the trim rings for the port hole windows, after 3 or 4 times failing to make a decent ring with my router and a circle jig. I made a large backing plate and screwed the glued up blanks to the plate. then chucked it up in my lathe.

Nice ring! And that's why they call it "fishing", not "catching"; still, it is therapeutic.
