In this day and age, even the cheaper brands of base clear are fine for what you're doing. When you're ready to go you can contact me and I'll give you pointers for success.

Also, spraying your smaller parts will give you necessary gun time and help you figure out your method and technique for great results. Hopefully you can get some practice to become comfortable and satisfied with your results before you tackle the bigger job.

Let me begin this post with a disclaimer: We are currently at about 95%+ completion, even though this journal doesn't reflect that. The push was on all winter to get her finished, but as Spring approached it was clear we needed a lot more time (and a little more $$) to have her complete by camping season. Therefore we took a break. From Designing. From Building. From Journaling. We went Camping. We laid down our tools, packed up the kids and we went. We Traveled. We Explored. We Created Memories. We enjoyed the fruits of our labor and the gifts of our creation! And that's where we're at. I need to finish up a couple doors, a few drawer fronts, a little trim here and there and the Dinette cushions. Otherwise we are there. All systems were go all summer and everything functions exactly as intended so I am very pleased. All electrical systems, lighting, A/C, Hot Water, water pump, tanks, etc., all working as designed. I couldn't possibly ask for more. (Which is good since this thing doesn't come with a warranty plan!) So, 5 months, a few thousand miles, many beautiful destinations, and loads of memories and laughs later, here we are. Happy. Satisfied. Blessed. This weekend we will take one more trip into the great outdoors before we winterize.

I'm ready to pick this thing up where I left off, so here goes. Hopefully there's still a few of you around!
Happy Building,
Michael

Catching up...
If you remember, we were building cabinets for the Galley. Bending Birch, making curves, spraying Lacquer, stuff like that.

So now we have upper cabinets installed, control panel installed, wiring for that all ran and tucked away to the 30A Fuse/Breaker box.

And connected all the connections for the LED backlighting

And a few built-in's to keep all our retro-atomic-age dinnerware in place

Trimmed out and complete

Enough for this round. When I get back I'll start in on the bathroom cabinets.

See ya soon.

AWESOME! Lot to say, first everybody is still here waiting to pounce on every post you make. You were only giving us a break during summer so we don't get nervous seeing your creation. The birch cabinets, the designs, the way things are shaped.
Love the plates. Now i have to check my grandma's house cause they look familiar wait my old countertop had that style and table too. Keep thinking of that Australian house. Your interior is above and beyond. More later. You rock

I'm going to try to add a little here and there until I get this thing caught up.

Here's a couple shots of the drawer dividers and the place where we store our vintage 50's glassware. (In a camper? I know, crazy.) And our Starburst silverware from the 60's. Anyone remember that pattern? They were a childhood staple in my family. Although no one I ever knew of had the entire set because you bought them one piece at a time with Green Stamps. Anyone remember that? I didn't get mine one piece at a time, but rather 3-4 pieces at a time through the magic of modern day Ebay...

Notice how the indirect under counter LED lighting illuminates the drawers.

Thanks KC. Hopefully soon I'll get started on bathroom pics. We saved the most challenging cabinets for last
