Oh it's AmAzInG! Funny thing though, a camera will not pick it up! I've tried and tried!

Have you ever done some holographic mirror finish glitter/flakes? I am starting to get some ideas, looking for inspiration now...

Yes, that's what's on the exterior.

I zoomed in on a few shots. You can see the diamond flakes but the Holographic flake will not show up on camera!

Michael, three more questions on your colours and I hopefully will shut up for now :)))
1. what's the holographic pearl flake size, 004 or bigger?
2. what base coat, silver metallic?
3. would these flakes be looking nice over a white base?

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. I would do a test panel to see if you like it. For $12 a jar it's cheap to experiment!

Here's something to consider. I've been flown all over the world painting race boats for a living. Fly me into Canada for the weekend, when I leave you'll have a painted camper, a lifetime of skills condensed into a weekend and a whole lot of fun for the price of a ticket and a few meals. The training is free, the experience, priceless!

Truly a piece of art. You can definitely tell you and your team put their heart and soul into it. Love the retro throw back done up with class.

Re: The Astroliner

Postby Atomic77 » Fri Nov 16, 2018 8:49 am

Yesterday was a snow day for the kids, so after a few hours of the noise and rowdiness in the house I retreated to the camper and fired up the heat. I decided to start working on the backsplash for the Galley. I have struggled to find just what I want, exploring many options. Textures, colors and style are all very important to maintain the look of the 50's-60's time period. Unfortunately, I had a very difficult time with this. It's just too specialized and you can't walk into Home Depot and find that sort of thing. Either the colors don't match, or the materials weren't right, or they were too modern looking. My criteria was, it had to be retro in appearance, while still matching the rest of the mid-century interior and I really wanted glass. All that said, I finally found this mid-century, fusion-glass, monochromatic tile and I'm feeling good about it. It has plenty of sparkle and each piece of glass is one of a kind. I don't have it all finished yet and I'm still kicking around ideas for the grout. But I thought I might share a bit of a peek at what's going on in Astroliner Land! Happy building my friends...

This is looking nice. What kind of adhesive are you using for this?
