Two words: Carbon Fibre
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

Come on Brian, "wood is good"! You never know you might get to enjoy working with the stuff. Just think of all of those walnut dashboards you could do. :FNP

Really? Are you MIG or TIG welding? I find every single puddle of weld to be a creative process when TIG welding. Maybe I just don't do it often enough to get bored with it.

At least you can sit back at the end of the day, maybe squint a little to filter out the "undone-ness", and enjoy the overall picture of the build.

Kermit is getting MIG welded together.
I can TIG, but don't have a TIG welder.
MIG is much easier than TIG for this kind of project.
Man....TIG, MIG,.......I feel like one of those computer savvy tech guys, that use jpg, pfi, downlaod, uplaod, and all those other technical acronyms that I don't understand??? :?

Well, another car gave up one of its body parts today.
A 1957 Dodge Custom Royal gave up its trunk lid to Kermit.
The plasma cutter made it easy to turn this trunk lid into a rear roll pan and galley floor.
So the count is now up to 6 cars, 1 truck & 1 van.
1947 Chev Fleetline Areo Sedan
1947 Pontiac Torpedo Back
1947 Oldsmobile 88 Sedanette
1938 Dodge 4Dr
1949 International P.U.
1957 Dodge Royal Lancer
1959 Studebaker Hawk
1973 VW Vanagon

Stay tuned .........there will be more before Kermit is finshed! ;)

Okay, cool... but a galley floor and rear roll pan must certainly be picture worthy, right? :pictures: :pictures: :pictures:

Brian... I only wish I had access to the kinds of parts and pieces that you do! Can't wait to see some pictures of your progress!

Okay......pictures are being taken daily, as I am working on Kermit full time now with spring approaching.
There is even a rare picture of me (as I am usually the one behind the camera) working with wood. I was using a metal hole saw in the drill press while building Sandi a pull out spice rack for Kermit.
Pictures have yet to be downloaded from camera.
But "Trust Me" progress is being made. ;)

Rear Fenders ......1947 Pontiac to 1947 Chevrolet Fleetline body......are not a direct fit! 139023139020
So I cut the top off the chev fender as a filler piece to make them blend together.
