I don't have as fancy of camera as yours, but I do plan to take more pictures as I go along. :pictures:
Unfortunately, I promised myself and Sandi that I would not start on this project until I have finished some of the others I have on the go.
But you know how that goes?
Just the thought of a "New" project had me out there already this morning, cleaning it out, and taking more pictures.
Working on the vision and evaluating the parts I already have.
Found myself on ebay this morning pricing out some of the things I bought two years ago while building "Miss Piggy".
By the way, I love your Avatar.

Well, I know I am not supposed to be starting this project just now!
But, what could be the harm in making plans and doing research.
Wednesday I found some 1947 Pontiac Silver Streak rear fenders.
Found inside window moldings on ebay!
And today, I went out to take comparison measurements, so as to start planning the Galley! :)
The plan is to utilize the major components from Miss Piggy for both TDs. ie. stove, table, fridge, cooler, canisters, shoreline, etc.
Some new ideas will be incorporated into the layout due to the difference in configuration and additional sq. footage. (not that much larger)
Making lots of notes, as it might be a while before I get to cutting and welding. :(
Still looking for a 1937 -38 mopar 4 Dr sedan parts car!
Acquisition of the final donor car might speed the start date up???????
I will keep you posted!

PS
Sandi is getting excited too.....I think? As she is looking at curtain & quilt materials and prints on Pintrest.
And she was out there with the tape measure giving input for the Galley Layout! :applause:

Yesterday, after picking up some 1947 Pontiac Silver Streak rear fenders and front door pods for my "Kermit". I venture a little further south and found the 1938 Plymouth 4 Dr I was looking for!! :applause:
Contacted the owner and bought it first thing this morning before Sandi woke up!
Also picked up a number of parts for this project on ebay the past few days.
Won't be making any sawdust with this project.......but some cutting, welding, and sandblasting might be happening sooner than later. As the acquisition of the donor cars for the project has happened a lot faster then I had ever expected. ;)
Thus, I have passed the "Dreaming" stage and am well into the "Visual" stage.
Now if I can get the Farm winterized and some things checked off the old "honey do list"......I will be getting at this project this winter.

Can't seem to shut my brain off on this project!
So this afternoon it was hook up the trailer and head south again! To pick up the 38 Plymouth.
Now comes the real test of restraint. :NC
All the big pieces are all home now.... the picture is in my head.....How do I hold myself back? :?
Wish all of my other commitments were not looming over me! I would be out there before daybreak getting started on this build.

Well it is started!
The sun came out today and Nov. 1st sounded like the ideal start date for a 6 month project????
Moved the 1938 Plymouth down to the shop and fired up the plasma cutter!
Back was off and laying on the lawn before the sun set over the barn roof. :applause:
Later tonight I will attempt to put more pictures in my gallery so I can add them to the posts that will follow!

Okay, What happened to that week?
This is how you can get behind on you planned schedule!
A week goes by so quickly. :frightened: Did do a few things but not what I should have.
Removed rear quarter windows and sills from 47 Chev, stripped out window hardware from doors, trimmed a little more off of the 38 Plymouth rear body portion, blasted and primed rear window moldings, bought my new converter, shore line 30 amp receptacle, front door moldings, on ebay.
Did some more measuring, planning, and dreaming, etc ,
Sorry still no pictures! :(

Sorry Dan
I might try again today :pictures: .........as the temperature has dropped to -10.
It is clear and sunny out, but too cold to work outside.
Kermit has made it as far as the front door of my shop, but I have no room inside!
Too many other projects?? And yes I do have 15,000 sq. ft. of buildings........you would think I would have room for one more teardrop?????
