So the lefthand light quarter is fitted and the top and bottom battery box sills are in place.
Pretty much what I had envisioned.
Still undecided on black or silver sealant between the sheet joints.
Black was my intention but a mates trying to talk me into some silver stuff.
Opinions and suggestions welcomeImageImageImage

That's all looking good. ;)
Re the sealant, it probably depends on how obvious you want the joints to be. For me, I would probably go with the silver and minimum showing. It would also depend on which one is going to look the best as it ages.

My thoughts exactly.
I'm trying to get a consistent 3mm gap between all the joints witch is working well and shouldn't look to bad in black.
I'll leave it until it's all done and do some more research on silver selants

Got a bit distracted with a side project...hopefully going back in the fzj80 in a week or so.
Should wake the old girl up a bit.

Should be good fun.
And wont be slow going uphill with the camper.
Believe it or not that's why I started it...it took on a bit of a life of it's own ImageImageImage

sweet. One vehicle I really would like to have but probably won't because then I'd start doing what you are. Have more in the motor than the thing would be worth.

They hold thier value reasonably well and at the end of the day I never plan on selling this.
I paid 8.5k AUD for it 10 years ago and have spent about 3 on rebuilding diffs and brakes all round, new suspension.
Engines costing probably 10k all up.
What do you buy these days for 20k?
Nothing any where near as good.
That's what

And blowing that 10K on wine women and song would probably not be as enjoyable either eh? 8-)
