That must be the upmarket Coleman  We have one that Sandi just loves, but it has no sink or shelves.
Great to see you camping!

Hi Brian
I got it second hand and it has no branding.
It may be a jackeroo one as the lid over the sink and bench has a backgammon and checkers board printed on it.
(I need to learn backgammon now)
I have been teaching my 5 yr old checkers so that is good

Next is remembering how to play doninoes

Anyway except for a solar panel I have all the bits sorted. I need to reskin my hatch and trim it properly and varnish the interior after sealing it then it will be weathertight and ready for years of fun

Why do you need to reskin your hatch mate?

So I just came inside after a backyard campout with the kids

It was a dismal failure

Miss 3 kept master 6 awake until 2130 then she tossed and turned and grizzled all night

At 0600 she got us up, I keot them contained in the camper until 0730 then my patience ran out

0800 she fell in the paddling pool and got soaked

0830 she still had not drunk milk/ hotchocolate or touched her breakfast

0840 she fell in the paddling pool again

0846 we are inside, she is changed (again) and they are both infront of the TV
(PEACE)

Miss 3 sounds like she's still in the throes of the "terrible twos", even if she is three! This, too, shall pass. Don't give up. Try it again and maybe, the next time, it won't be so new to her and she won't get so excited and will, therefore, behave better. Once the whole camping thing looses its novelty, you'll be able to have things more under control.
Meanwhile, your backyard camping description gave me quite a chuckle!

Re: Felixx's Superleggera - should I reclad as a woody?

Postby felixx » Fri Aug 19, 2016 2:56 pm

So the one side of the cladding I used was cheap chinese spec.
It has cracked. I am thinking of gluing and screwing the thinnest treated ply over both sides of my TD and creating a woody.

Also I think copper unequal Angle will be a good alternative to Aluminium for my trim.

Any opinions??

Well , as you know , I'm a fan of wood siding :) so I'm all for it .

I wanted to add , every screw is a potential leak , so I think more glue , less screws , nice with the copper trim 8)

Hey Dusty..
I think I do know your preferences..

Do I need to use H3 Ply or can I use untreated and thick layers of polyurethane??
