Absolutely beautiful. You are a true craftsman. By the way, we just finished this new build. Not as fabulous as your new baby, but not too shabby.

Can you give us some details on what materials you used? Aluminum types (7075-T6, 3003), sizes, angle sizes, etc.
I am very good at riveting, as I have built several airplanes (i.e. Vans RV series), and I have thought many times of building a teardrop out of aluminum.
What is the finished weight right now? I would think it could be built very light, compared to plywood.
What are you doing to keep condensation down on the inside?
Details on the trailer would be great too!
Can't wait to see the finished product!
Excellent job!

And I'll second Todd's requests.

Thanks, Fred

We just reserved 227, and were looking forward to seeing old friends.

Heres a little information about the trailer.

The sides and top aluminum are from .063 5052H32 aluminum.
The aluminum overlays top and front sides are from .050 5052H32 aluminum.
The frame is made up of 2"x2"x1/4" angle, the front A frame is made from SCH 80 1 1/2 pipe.
The deck is 3/4" 7 ply cabinet grade plywood with two coats of exterior grade primer and two coats of porch paint inside and out, this is the only wood in the trailer.
The fenders and the underside of the galley lid were made from the hail beaten skin of a 1949 Wee Zim trailer.
The trailer sits on a #8 Dexter axle rated for 900lbs with 15" tires.
I haven't weighed the trailer yet, but it should come in around 600lbs give or take.
The last pics posted are of the finished trailer, minus the roof vent.

I guess thats about it.

I thought I would share, I just came across an old pic of the trailer with the added copper roof rack on it.
