I have a build site! I can't tell you how much better I feel now. Not having one has been a sheer nuisance for months now. It's an 18 x 44 storage/warehouse unit with electric (and gas, but I'm not even turning that on) and restrooms on premises.

Meanwhile I am still collecting materials like a fiend. This is quite scary. I am a frugal person, so looking at the rate the funds are flying out of the account is hair raising. Must remember that's -why- the funds were in there in the first place. And that I hocked my life for the next 4 years to -put- those funds in there, so I'm supposed to use them for their intended purpose. Right?

I've got all my structural things except screws for paneling, bucks, and splines. Don't have interior or exterior trim yet. Have about half my electrical components, including this lovely thing that arrived last night:

Walls are up! Roof panels are laid on but not adjusted, glued, or screwed yet. The smallest roof panel - it's two feet wide - is not up yet, in order to give me some fighting room. It'll be easier to get up there than the 4 foot ones were. We used a system of ladders for skid ramps and rope for locomotion to get them up there.

The photo blog of the build so far is in this open Facebook album.

Shaping up nicely now. Any guess on a target weight? SIP Looks nice & it should have very good insulation.

The roof looks to be a barrel vault. I wonder how they did those panels at the factory. Looks stout!
