winter project finished

Postby joe duncan » Mon May 09, 2016 11:55 am

Just finshed building a new custom tounge box for my lil guy t@g. It came with this little plastic box that barely fit a 5lb propane tank and a group 24 battery, The new box holds two group 27 batteries, propane tank and storage room for some gear. I think it came out looking pretty good the old box is in my profile picture

Just an uniformed question: Is it a good idea to have batteries and propane in the same enclosed space?

I think I remember propane is heavier than air, so vents on the bottom are a good idea, too.

As long as the box is vented out the bottom properly, both the tank and battery(s) are secured and connected properly I see no issues. Just my 2 cents worth. :)

The back of the box is completly open except where the hinge mounts and the bottem is expanded metal so I feel it has plenty of ventilation :D
