Okay folks,
I have been lurking a little, thinking a lot(smell smoke anyone?), and doing some reading. Yesterday I finally found what I think will be a very good trailer to build upon. It is a homemade, heavy duty flat bed. The current platform is 5' wide and 7'long. The construction is almost entirely 2x2x1/4" wall steel tube. All welded. The axle is actually a 2" square tube with hubs using 15" tires.
In the pictures it shows the original configuration with the front stad-up(not sure what else to call it). I cut that off today an will have it welded onto the front thus giving me a 5' x 8.5' platform. This will also effectively move the axel back a bit. For the tongue, i have ordered another piece of 2"sq, 1/4" wall, 4 foot long piece of tube. nce I get this stuff welded I'll move onto the painting, new lights, coupler, etc.
Anyways, I am off to a start. I am having problems uploading at the moment. I'll see if I can figure it our
