So its been a year since I started this project. It has brought me pain (emotional and physical), massive frustration, joy, indecisiveness, made up knowledge, known knowledge and a wide variety of other emotions. Here she sits at about 95% complete. I have 17 days before I leave on a 3 week road trip. I have a route east or west. I am expecting fully that 50 miles down the road I blow a tire or it completely disintegrates in the outside world.

Here she is! about 98.9% complete with a few final finishing touches to finish up in 10 days before I leave on a 3 week western national park road trip! Got her tested on the road yesterday, my repack must have been good because the hubs were nice and cool after about 30 minutes on the highway, she pulled straight with no sway, and just a little choppiness at lower speeds which I feel will be fixed when I have a full load in the TV and trailer.

My travel buddy with her new mobile home, she doesn't even know what she has in store in a week.

Very nice job. The Weekender has always been one of my favorite

In Hindsight, would you do anything different?

Wow, this is a loaded question....hahahaha

I would definitely not wait on the hatch as one of the last components. Mine is not perfect by any means and needed a little more weather striping than most I presume. I may just have to go back and redo it down the road. Plan days out better, other than building a pergola and a few other wood projects around the house this was the biggest undertaking of a project i have ever set my mind too. I had many a mistakes that had to be corrected or adjusted throughout the process and a little bit better daily/overall plan and I would have been done a little sooner.

Realize that the finishing aspect of every surface takes a damn long time.
