I live in Henderson. Hoping to move up to Mt Charleston next year some time.

We can meet up some time and you can come check it out.

Appreciate the invite. I just moved out of Whitney Ranch and am now closer to McCarran. Completely swamped at work lately but would love to see your trailer.

I am on Windmill between pecos and eastern. Had to live close to McCarren when I was flying MedEvac. Now Im with Spirit, I dont have to live close, but it is nice.

Neither my table saw or my circular saw guides are worth a damn...

What saw guides are you using? I made a diy circular saw guide, same as in the picture below and it works fine, very clean cuts.
It's made out of 1/4 hardboard and MDF trim board. I just clamp on my marks and cut.

Sharp looking trailer build, btw.

That...
Is excellent. I will probably steal this idea...

Well, pine furring strips really suck. I mean HORRIBLE.

Ripped it all off, returned the unused crap to Lowes, got my money back and went to a proper specialty lumber supplier here in Vegas and spent the money for finger joint poplar.

Todays progress before the elbow started hurting...

Roof and vent fan rough in. Late start today. It was a little chilly this morning.

Our first tiny trailer build.

Postby KingAirNeal » Sat Nov 19, 2016 6:06 pm

I could have sworn there was a post in here that disappeared...

Oh well...

We now have a rear framework and doors!

I would have gotten more of the framework, if not all of it done today if I didn't run out of lumber a half hour after the yard closed. It will not reopen until Monday morning.

I love how tight the joinery is with the Kreg jig and really nice poplar finger joint lumber.

Looking good. Looks like you planned it well to go with the Jeep.

Where did you get the lumber? Looking for a good local supplier for a counter top project I am planning.

Peterman lumber, Arville Road off Russell. Just north of the 15.

AMAZING specialty lumber supplier. Exotics, redwoods, live edge massive slabs etc.

VERY reasonable prices too.

A few more frame members to install to use as mounting points for stuff here and there, wiring is all run, and first two interior plywood panels installed on the inside nose.
