Sweet. We are hoping for a shake down cruise to Yosemite in mid April, and the big trip to Yellowstone end of May.

Good luck!

Both of those are on my bucket list.

Living in Las Vegas has its advantages of being closer then where I grew up back east.

Our first tiny trailer build.

Postby KingAirNeal » Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:08 pm

Sorry for the lack of updates. Fighting bronchitis for what seems like forever.

Just got back to work today. Small steps still. Another coat of varnish on the rear counter. And started filling screw holes on the outside of the rear doors, rear and drivers side.

Hoping to get it epoxy coated and painted, or at least primed, by the end of February.

Amazing work man! Love how the walls turned out. I am using pallet wood, but think it is going to be too heavy.

Thanks! There hasn't been too much visible progress. I was fighting bronchitis for a few weeks.

Mostly filling and sanding, getting ready for epoxy coating, which, hopefully the first coat will go on tomorrow.

I did get the rear galley counter completed and ready for final install. Thats about it for visible progress.

Second coats on, and of course it started raining halfway through. Its not supposed to rain in the go ram desert!!!

Third coat? Yes or no?

We stopped at two coats of epoxy. It has a bit of an orange peel finish to it. Plan is to wet sand it out to smooth it, and see how it looks. If we decide to put another coat on it we will. Chances are with the 2-3 coats of Interlux Epoxy Primecoat going on for sanding surfacer, it wont need it.

Epoxy is sanding out nicely with the power sander and 120 grit pads. It went a lot better after scrubbing the amine blush off with water and a scotch bright pad.

All the Interlux Marine Epoxy Primecoat and Interlux Perfection
two part linear Polyurethane color coats has been ordered and will be at the store for pick up Wednesday next week. Also, finally got the doors and window and fenders ordered.

Hopefully, we will be fully painted by the end of the month!

Back on her wheels and fully enclosed and just about ready to use by the end of March!

Fingers crossed!

Paint should be arriving at West Marine today, I have picked up all the supplies I need to get this thing through final color.

Also arriving today, the star gazer window and fenders, doors should be here second week of March.

Praying to the gods they all fit the openings based on the measurements I was given! LMAO

Shooting for a completion and ready to rock and roll end of March at the latest.
