BTW - I love your Festiva. We had a blue 1993 Festiva until about a month ago. Put almost 300,000 miles on it. (Engine was rebuilt once.)
Sounds like you took KC to heart on his safety concerns. I don't want to beat a dead horse, so to speak, but be especially careful on the table saw. I knew better, but got in a hurry trying to cut a sheet of 3/4" MDF by myself, and only set up an outfeed table but not an infeed table. As I was wrestling the sheet through the saw, it started to rise. Instinctively, I thought about kickback and pushed down on the sheet just about until the time the end of my middle finger contacted the saw blade creating a taper in the first digit down to the knuckle. Moral of the story - it's safer to break down sheet goods using a circular saw rather than wrestling 4x8 sheets of plywood.
