Thanks clam,,

Once they are sealed (no stain) and varnished, the grain should really pop.. :) A little extra time to add high lights here and there..

Quick update,, :)

All the galley door frames have been cut and checked for sizes..

Set up my router table to rout the 3/16" grove for the 1/4" oak panels.. using a quick finger board jig to save my fingers.. ;)

153462 153461

Sanded all the parts, cut the 1/4" panels and glued and assembled the doors... :D

153463 153464

Here they are laying on the oak cabinet face frames..

153465

Small blank opening in the face frame is for my electrical panel...

Next cut all the pieces of oak and walnut for the drawer fronts and have them glued up for over night drying..

153467153466

Tomorrow will cut them all to size.. and then rout and sand...

Thanks for watching, David
Stay safe, David

That would be nice. We had at least 12 inches of white stuff on Tuesday. I need heat, preferably greater than 50 deg F, to cure epoxy.

Yes for the heat KC, have been watching the storms that are hitting up there, and really feel for you'll.. :( temps here are mainly staying above 50 now.. This was the coldest winter we have had here in years..dropping down into the teens and several days even in the single digits,, unheard of for us.. But there is an end in site for it shortly... :worship:

Glue wouldn't dry and spraying any type of finish would have been a waste of time.. was just to cold.. Now I'm playing catch up on the TD... to be campable by middle of next month.. ;) David

Great work on those cabinets! It's obvious it's not your first time with cabinetry.

It's hard to put myself in your shoes with your weather situations in southern California because we never experience extreme temperatures. I did live in NY for a few months during the polar vortex which made me glad I to come home to Los Angeles

Thanks clam, for the compliment.. :)
Yes.. :D Have been around a few cabinets (building them) in the past.
I figured I might as well do a little more as for the cabinets in the galley.. As I've been waiting for the weather to get warmer and a little less wind. So I can get the TD out of the shop to work on it more.. ;)
The shop I'm using is nice, though a little restrained on size to move around the TD..
Being able to move it outside will help a lot with getting more done on it, such as the electrical and skinning it.. David

Linda asked for a pass through for the coffee.. :D works for me...

I was debating on whether to put the stove in the galley or have a table setup away. I'm worried that cooking near the galley will cause a lot if oil mess from things like bacon. What's your thoughts on that?
