What we needed was something big enough for 3 ppl. So a length of 13 foot was decided. And with a toilet room. Also the interior units needed to be foldable or collaspable to allow the carrying of pushbikes or motorbikes. So a large sidedoor was required. Also it needed to be usable for a market stall to serve food through. And finally... able to take a wheelchair

I got hold of an alko torsoin axle with hydrolic disc brakes. This was a factory item originally destined for european trailers. Capacity 1750 kg. Nicely made.

Then locating steel was the next thing. Where i live you cant just buy it off a rack as timber is.

I built our standi around the 76" length of a singles mattress positioned cross ways. The Teardrop wound up being 12' long and 83" wide at the outer edges of the fenders. When standing in the foot well my 6' 4" tall son just fits without ducking. :) Worked out great and is easy to pull and very comfortable to live in.

What outside profile are you thinking of using?
