Finally another update......got the ceiling/wiring/roof skin done. Baltic birch 1/8" ply inside and out with insulation too.
I was on the fence about the roof skin, leaning toward PMF. Then I found a local source for aluminum skin at a decent price so I decided to go for it. Happy with the choice.
Also bought a Maxxfan/vent. And ordered my windows.....dang this is getting spendy! Next up is getting my doors built and fitted.
Goal is to have it ready by the end of July.

Really looking good. Your decision to go with aluminum over PMF was a good one you'll never regret. Plus, it just looks fantastic!

Regarding the "spendy" part... you ain't seen nothing yet!

Keep up the good work!

Almost finished! Waiting on my outside door handles and a couple other small details....
I took it on it's maiden voyage(about 8 miles) and it seems to tow really well. Heavier than I planned...which I'm sure is a common occurrence.
Been working furiously on my coupe, leaving on a 1500 mile trip next week. posting.php?mode=reply&f=50&t=71463#

Is that anodized or mill finish aluminum?

It's miil finish, no coating. I didn't want it shiny, so I went over it with a scotch brite pad.
The walls are just painted white with marine/industrial enamel. May do some sort of a design element on the sides to break it up a bit.

Well it looks good. I may need to do something similar to my 5x9x5 teardrop. Anodized sheets that size are way too expensive and I would prefer it to be seamless (mostly).
