The more I think about it and see other people's builds, the more I like the idea of open, 'flexible' storage. I'd like to be able to take anything - particularly duffel bags, backpacks, laundry bags, etc. - and just stuff them somewhere. As a bonus, it would save me a decent amount of weight; but that isn't the driving force behind pursuing the idea.

I had not noticed until now that you appear to be doing such here.
I like it!

Or am I mistaken? Is there more to come in there?
(I've read much of this thread, but please forgive me for not reviewing the whole thing. -Or possibly just forgetting what I had read.)

I have plenty of time to work things out, as I haven't even ordered steel or plywood yet, but I've been thinking about nearly wide-open shelves in the rear, but compartments up front, with nylon netting to keep accidents, badger hole ambushes, and craziness from bouncing big items out. (Possibly netting as dividers in the rear, too. But I do like the idea of structural dividers.) Netting is easy to get, easy to install, and easy to figure out how to work with. Plus... I already have several yards of 60" wide heat-resistant netting on-hand from a permanently-abandoned project.

Exactly. Our 2004 Hunter brand teardrop was built that way. I liked it so well that I built our current 'drop the same. And of course this new build.

It works. And there are no cabinet doors to open and get in your face.

I’m surprised the power draw on the Fantastic Fan. I went and checked my numbers on my Maxair again.

Fan 10 full 2.37
Fan 1 0.13
Fan 2 0.19
Fan 3 0.28
Fan 4 0.41
Fan 5 0.57
Fan 6 0.79
Fan 7 0.91
Fan 8 1.28
Fan 9 1.66

We mostly run 1,2,3 all night. Even with temps in the 30’s we’ll run 1 all night. Anything over 5 and we might as well have a jet engine mounted up there.

Looking forward to some cool nights to see how the heater does.

Except for the low setting, I measured similar numbers with mine (from year old notes):

0.05 A
0.10 - 0.15
0.20 - 0.22
0.30 - 0.4
0.5
0.7
1.0
1.35
1.80
2.65

Measured with one of those free Harbor Fright meters.

On the test stand, it's nice and quiet for the first couple of settings. I can put the test stand into a hover on 10.

Nice job Tony, really liked the last video. Almost ready for sea trials now! How old is Steph's pup now? Looks like it was exhausting just watching you work out there.

And you were saying Oct 1 trip was soon? You will probably be more ready than I will.

I ordered 3500# springs for my Timbren to replace the 2000# ones. No one I talked to at Timbren or eTrailer said the part number was for one spring. So today one spring shows up, I even paid extra for 3 day shipping so I can get them on for a short weekend trip. Not the second one won't be here thing next Monday. :x
