Here I've taken two pieces of 1/2" ply for the roof and are joining them together by routing out half the thickness of each. I then used Titebond 3 to fasten them, weighed them down for over 30 hours and it was like one sheet of plywood after that.

Here I have the two sheets setting on my trailer for the roof in the first photo. You can see the joint.
Then I started to screw the roof down.

I knew that my build was not perfectly square so I left overhang on all of the 4 sides of the roof and used my oscillating saw and router to trim it to fit.

Here I decided to cut the galley hatch wires for my tail lights and other lights and I'll be creating a plug here. This way if I need to remove the galley door for maintenance, it will be easy to do so.

Here's a side view of where my build currently resides...
Next up adding my Timbren axles, fabricating a small step around the entire frame which will include building fenders into that as well.
Then comes a lot more... very fun but time consuming.

That's all I have for now.
I'll try to keep this thread updated with photos as I move forward.

Hope you enjoy.

Looks good, please post how the doors work out, my challenger doors were so hard to close, needed a shoulder to latch. Closing from the inside was very difficult

I've already test fit the doors and they fit without a problem in the areas I made for them. They shut like a nice door should. Can't imagine shutting from the inside would be any different but I haven't tried that yet.

What are you using for water/weather proofing on the outside? Looks like you painted with bedliner?

I'll be spraying / rolling on Durabak marine bed liner using their method for applying to wood. I've researched this option and many others have used this with great success. I plan on using two different colors. I'll be lifting the camper up several feet to spray the frame underneath as well.

I installed these Timbren 1 Tonne axle-less suspension over the last week or so. I sourced some 3" x 1.5" steel tubing and welded 3" angle iron to that. The tubing was used to insert into the harbor freight frame for excellent added support for the outer bolts. The angle iron is to be bolted to the inside area of the Timbrens. I also added the 2x2 steel tubing for more support. Added 5 on 4.5 hubs with electric brakes so that I could use my spare Jeep wheels on the camper. This suspension is jaw dropping. Install went very well. I have a few adjustments to make but otherwise it's perfect. The camper rocks so nicely back and forth when I put body weight onto one side or another of the door opening.
