I fixed this at Beavers Bend and everyone seemed to like it. Todah asked that I post it here for others to try. Hope you like it as well as we do. This was sent to me in the Family Camping Newsletter from Paha Que Wilderness.

Ingredients:
1 lb package of shell noodles
1/2 cube of butter
1/2 lb grated cheddar cheese
1/2 lb grated jack cheese
1 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided into 2 bowls
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 tsp white pepper
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 cup tuna or chicken, optional (I have tried both and liked them)

Directions:
Grease a 10" dutch oven with canola oil on a paper towel. Boil noodles in a large pot for about 4 minutes. Drain and put noodles aside. Add butter to dutch oven allowing it to melt. In a large mixing bowl, add all other
indredients and half the parmesan. At this point I also add the noodles and mix thoroughly, then pour into the dutch oven. The recipe calls for 4 hot coals on lid and 6 underneath, but we found it necessary to use more,
and bake for half an hour. Adjust to your own way of cooking. Remove the lid and add the additional parmesan on top, replace lid and continue baking another 5 minutes.

This recipe works well when adding additional items, what ever sounds good to you.

I do a shortened version of this even at home or work or in a hurry for a quick meal. Buy the Delux mix add drained tuna ( in water type ). Make the Cheese n Mac as instructions and add can or large pouch tuna. The other additives sound great I might have to try the additional cheeses and heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce and paprika. That does sound really good.

PS: Don't ask me about quick three minuite Mash potatos and gravy in a cup.  :D ;)

This one sounds good.

I will sometimes add frozen peas into my Mac & cheese. I always add extra cheeses. I wonder why I'm over weight. I'll have to try the Worcestershire sauce in my next pot of mac and cheese.

Sounds really tasty. I like the addition of the chicken, turns it from a side to a main dish for me.

Chicken?

Mac and cheese isn't health food. I say, toss in some diced, crispy BACON!
