Maybe a reminder/primer on the 'care and feeding' of cast iron cookware.

Might be helpful for those of us who haven't used it for a while, or newbies.

This cookbook is a wonderful effort by all involved, and much appreciated by this old man.

For the next edition, I'll have to give you my award winning dutch oven paella recipe. And my very simple garlic herb rolls recipe. And you need to add a dutch oven pumpkin dump cake and maybe an apple betty too.

Anyone else tried making crepes while camping? That's a basic recipe that should be in any camp cookbook.

Just to be an electronics enabler, Kindle readers and Kindle apps for all sorts of devices also read PDFs. I downloaded this PDF to my home computer, then used the Android File Transfer app to move it into the Kindle directory on my tablet with my other books. Now I can pull up the recipes on my Nexus out in the wilds. True, I always plan and pre-prepare at home, but if it's always nice to have the recipe for comparison and final cooking instructions.

I also load my fishing license PDF onto my Nexus. 8)

What a fantastic gift for a new owner of a 12 in. DO. I will use it very soon for my first dish from it.
Thank you to Mike and all others who contributed to it.

I believe you can use the EPUB version with Kindle.

Oops. I didn't do an EPUB version. I'll have to put that on my ToDo list.

I've been busy doing the camp-cook.com 2nd edition cookbook. There aren't as many recipes posted here, so I've been neglecting this cookbook. Sorry.

Mike,
I thought Kindle only read mobi files. That was why I went with a Nook instead. But there is a free program out there called Calibre that converts mobi, epub, and pdf files to each other. A guy at Barnes and Noble turned me on to it. Maybe it will help. :)

The cookbook went to the head of my ToDo list, so here are the links to both the PDF and EPUB versions.

PDF: 2nd Edition of the T&TTT Cookbook
EPUB: 2nd Edition of the T&TTT Cookbook

No additions between the two, but a slight re-arrangement of the Meat recipes.

That was true early on, but Kindle has had to keep up with other apps. You just load the pdf into your kindle book directory and it will show up in your library. It won't auto-size, like the Kindle-specific (mobi) files, but you can resize manually.
