Stupid Simple Scones/Biscuits/Dumplings

1 c. self rising flour (or Bisquick)
1 c. heavy whipping cream
Optional ingredients:
Dash of salt or sugar depending whether you want sweet or savoury.
Other things I usually put in:
Chopped dried cherries or candied orange peel, nuts, sunflower seeds for sweet.
Rosemary, jalapeno peppers, cheddar cheese, garlic salt for savoury.
Makes 8 and can be increased easily.

Mix batter, stir in whatever you like, plop globs of it onto a non-stick surface (I like parchment paper) and bake at 350 until just barely golden. It's really hard to overbake them due to the high fat content of the cream. I've made these in a dutchie over a fire, a Coleman camp oven, and a solar oven, though the solar takes awhile in afternoon sun.

Usually we go with 'scone' style, but I've also made them as plain biscuits and used this mix to make chicken 'n dumplings.
