I've often wondered why there aren't more campers like this. I've thought about buying an old popup tent camper and re-doing the canvas without the slideout beds, maybe have a couple of convertible couches in there instead. It could be done relatively cheap, lots of room, easy to tow and setup. I've never liked the slideout beds in popup campers.

This one is a much nicer version of that idea.
