Rare isn't necessarily a measure of good. I've owned rare cars before, and it's not always fun....waiting weeks for necessary parts while the OEM tries to find them.

Airstream has a reputation for quality. A Bambi is about the only thing I'd consider instead of what I have (maybe a casita or scamp too) but this model never really looked like it fit the bill...windows too high (or floor too low) so you can't see outside at night. Too short to really stand in...it didn't know what it wanted to be...

For ten grand you could buy a classic 30 foot airstream, restore it, and have some left toward a tow vehicle. I've seen two thirty footers this year. Both around three grand.

Seems awful expensive for having such poor do it yourself "improvements"...

Quite a few others for a lot less money.
