I have named it the Micro Standy but it is based on a German trailer I found called the Werferlinger LT9-200. It is a very compact design with a cool dinette setup. The original is only 6'6 long. I added a couple inches for bed length. I bet you could build one pretty light too...

I like the compact trailers for some reason. Easy to tow and you can build them in a standard garage as most of the ones I draw are under 7' overall height...

I was looking back over this and ---well huh!-- The standing height and the over all height are kinda outta whack. Did I miss something?

sorry to drag this design back to the top but i really fancy building this one and could do with an idea as to the chassis to go under it, also in the photos it was based on it had what looks like a pop up roof on it. how could i consruct such a roof on this project?

Naver thought I'd see CATIA mentioned here; I used it for many years at Boeing. The price would be way over our needs. And not very user friendly.

I can give you some PDFs of the basic dimensions of the frame and body if you want. That would give you a start at least...

And i agree about CATIA. All the people i know that have used it have said its not user friendly at all...

Cool little trailer. I like it.
As an aside, CATIA is sold by IBM in the US because of their alliance with Dassault. When we asked IBM sales reps for some information on their product life cycle management software, they instead spent most of their time trying to sell us on replacing our 3D systems corporate-wide with CATIA. This didn't go over very well, oddly enough....

been thinking of building one a micro standy for a while now since selling my teardrop at the end of last summer! i want something small in size but i like the idea of being able to stand up... the pic's posted of the one behind the trike looks like it has a pop up roof! that idea appeals to me i could then lower the roof hight slightly for towing.
any good ideas for doing a pop up roof to fit this design?
