But my hubby bought me a camper for Christmas! The last registration papers say 1966 Avion but I cant find any tags to tell me what it is  I am going to try to post some pictures ... So excited! I am rebuilding some things, modifing to my likes. I love varnish but some of it will have to go. Color, lots of color! Reds and earthy tones. I dont trust the old gas stove so it has got to go. Maybe someone here will want it as a rebuild? OMG so excited! The weather is nice today(40s in Maine!!) so I will be heading outside soon to tackle a wall that needs repair. More later...Amanda

PS
Need help in posting pictures.... have been looking and looking but cant find a "album" to post pix into and no "upload picture" buttons. I may be overlooking something simple? I know how to resize and did so to make my avatar but it doesnt show up. Help??[/img]

This should help, can be found as a sticky in the general section.

Place pics in you album. Click on album at the top of the page, and then scroll down towards the bottom of the page. Click on your personal album and upload there. When you want to post pic copy address at the top of screen, click mouse on Img, paste address of pic, and click on Img again. When posted the pic should show up. The hardest part of the whole process is making them small enough to upload. Avatar is 151x201 pixals max and album pic 640x480 max. If i'm in a hurry I right click on pic and open in paint, and resize until it's small enough. Hope this helps rather that confuse you.

Oh ya they love the pictures around here!

Thank you thank you thank you Zollinger and Miriam!! Sometimes I have to read it 2/3 times before I "get" it. Glad I was able to post a small picture for you to work with. I will try more in the morning.

I had a great day in the camper ripping out two walls. A spot in the roof was leaking and the back window. Yikes! On the good side of this I can have what I want on the walls and put in better insulation! Paul (DH) took the stove and refrigerator out. He is also making room in the shed for all the other things so we can empty the camper out.
LOL so much I want to change I am thinking I might as well gut the thing, salvage what I can and spend my winter rebuilding ! I will take pictures in the morning so I can post before, during and after. Goodnight, Amanda

I posted some pics into my album! These are the "before". What you cant see is the water damage under the window.
Doug, I have included a picture of the stove after it was removed. More later! Amanda

Hi there boatyardgirl,

Congrats on getting a new project. Good luck as you tackle it.

I thought I'd give you a possibility of a brand for it.

It isn't an "Avion" as those have always been aircraft style and
construction. [Similar to Airstreams.] Not canned ham style as
far as I can find out.

There was a canned ham style brand in the 1960s [And maybe
into the 1970s.] called "Avalon." Your 'new' TT is most likely that
brand. If you pronounce both names fast they sound closely alike.
That's probably how it got registered as an "Avion".

Maybe the RVMH Hall of fame would have some info on "Avalon" TTs.

Have fun and good luck with the rebuild.

Cheers,
