Why were Doors in Vintage put in the Suiside way. The New ones open the oppisite way. Any one ever Replace a door to open towards the back of trailer instead of opening to Front of Camper? Wishbone

In some cases, a window that opens to the right of the door would have been a problem with a right hand hinged door. Doug

Yeah and people where a lot more smaller (skinny) than now. Doors were narrow back then.

I thought it was Me, but My door seemed smaller than My old Coleman Popup. Guess I can live with it. I'll just take extra precuition when hooking up & going down the road. Wishbone-Ks

That would be my guess too.

I know if the door on my Scotty opened the other way it would have taken out my passenger side front awning window decades before I got it.
