Bought an original 1956 roadmaster trailer last night, it is 20 ft no restoration needed, the owner had fliped the axle to raise it up first thing i need to do is lower the trailer. I gave away my 57 traveleze i bought last month to make room for the new trailer. The trailer has a full bath and shower, full size refigerator with the original sticker still inside, original flooring and table and benches...Hopfully my last vintage trailer buy for a few months. will post better pictures in a few days the trailer has been sealed and has new paint also. could not find any damaged panels on the exterior or interior. new tires and wheels with new wheel bearings new propane tanks and new wiring for the exterior lights. I found out that the original color paint and the design was kept when the trailer was repainted, The trailer is a park model but it does have a small holding tank, i will have to replace with a bigger one [i have one in the shed that will fit i got a few months ago]
and if anybody has any information on a 56 roadmaster trailer as i can not find anything on the net about this trailer

we do a lot of winter and spring camping on the oregon coast and because we only live an hr away we will be doing more camping. and the wife fell in love with the vintage trailer rallys we will be doing more of those the closer we get to retirement. we plan on keeping the 47 kenskill teardrop but i am thinking about selling the 57 cardinal canned ham in the pictures below

Thanks , coming from you means a lot you have one of the nicest trailers out there and you really use it , i wish i could take off and go see the places i can only dream about. just a few more years untill we retire and that is why i bought the new trailer. I gave away the 57 Traveleze i just bought to my step son so he will have a camp trailer. and my brother wanted my motor home so today i traded it for his a 78 4X4 chevy short box that he had he is happy and you got to belive i am for getting rid of that huge motorhome. The only trailer left to restore is the 1951 Boles Aero montery 16 ft. the wife said it looks like you are cleaning house

Aw, you mean to say that we just might be seeing you guys down here in SoCal at some of out vintage trailer rallies in a couple of years. Like Pismo Beach and Buellton just to name a couple. And by the way, nice looking trailer.
Remember 'Teardrop Time'.......Take your time, you don't have to have it finished NOW.

Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...
Nice Trailer Time Capsule! What a 'gift' to be on the receiving end of the
former owner's maintenance conscientiousness! Looks like you happened
upon one of the TT 'grails' everyone is searching for.
Have fun tweaking the new one and good luck starting in on the Boles.
Rob i have not measured it yet, raining and very cold here in western oregon. but it is between 7 and 8 ft wide. I found it on cragslist and it was only 10 miles away from me. i am the 3rd owner trailer lived most of its life in the high desert of eastern oregon. almost did not buy it he wanted to much money for me . but he droped the price 1500.00 dollars in one week . i decided i better call him. when i did he said someone else was interested so i gave him cash

Jeez Mike....no one can keep up with you on the vintage acquisition thing! Great find! What a honey of a trailer! Have fun with it. I've found info on RoadCraft and Spacemaster...but no Roadmaster! I thought about that name for one of my builds though...Doug

I did find a metal plate on the tounge of the trailer with a serial number . same as the serial number of the title. but the tag says Zieman Chassis from Whittler Ca. the company is still in business. no information about building travel trailers though
