1950 30 ft Pontic Chief trailer

Postby mvperini » Sat Mar 17, 2012 9:08 pm

I was at our monthly Black powder club shoot today, talking to the landowner about my vintage trailers when he said had a couple and if i wanted i could have one of them  so we went and looked at the trailer,

Image

in need of work  so we open the door and to my suprise
Image

so after looking it over i had to decline, but if i wanted i could take anything i wanted off of the trailer.
Image

so i removed the door handles and the tail lights all in good shape, interior lights door handles and i also found 3 vintage red comet fire ext. that mount to the wall. everything cleaned up very nice

Image

will be going back to remove the doors and 1 screen door along with the fridge and stove

Nice parts!

Are you selling any of them?

Sometimes the patient is only worth transplant parts. Nice batch of stuff there.
Just saw the note on the doors, those could be very handy for someone. :wine:

Hey Mike,

If you have the time, why not take the windows too?
I'm sure you could sell them to someone needing such
on a restoration, or even just needing 'retro' style
[even tho they're the real thing!] windows. It'd be
a shame to let such original items just be thrown out.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

I agree with Norm. I love the look of the vintage windows and would grab those if you could.

If that is a sandwiched door skin type set up...that would be a nice thing to maybe recycle along with the hinge if it's made for the screen also. If it's rotted out...not worth it. Doors can be pricey. Doug
