My thought would be to go with a color or colors (add a stripe?) that blend with the interior...maybe use the cushions' or appliance's color?

Congratulations. It looks like you got a good one! More room for the whole family!

Oh, I just ate...not hungry for popcorn anymore.

The counters are like a seafoam or mint green with gold specks in it. I painted the stove gloss white as the gunmetal grey was ugly.

I did order 2" wide chrome tape for the stripe. May wait on the color until I get everything else sorted out. Not sure what color that is on the fabric ...turquoise ? teal??

wings are in hand and ready to bolt on ..need some spacers and screws that got that weird head on them so thief does not take them down.

You were lucky on that first trailer... I don't like the way the wiring is hidden inside a 3/4" wall. There isn't enough spacing to protect it from a stray screw or nail.
Shasta is building a limited run of the 1961 Airflyte. They’re painting theirs red, yellow, or seafoam green.

hey Shady! congrats on the new Shasta. For a color thing, take some good shots from the front/ rear and sides. Trace the profile out onto some vellum or decent paper and make some copies. Then get after it with some colored pencils. Check out other Shastas for design if you want to go original, or do your own thing. If'n it were me, I'd try to do some coordination between the exterior and interior. I'd make the trailer look like a complete package on it's own, IE, don't paint it to match your tow vehicle if it's going to clash with the interior decor. An unusual color or a "themed" paintjob can make for a difficult resale if you ever decide to do that. Have fun! Doug

Hey Doug thanks for the advice. I am glad we did not end up with a pile of ashes.

The Shasta is a blank slate with the white paint being in really good shape. The inside looks like sea foam green with gold speck in the counter materials and lots of pretty birch. If we go two tone leaning to the sea foam or mint green look.

I know Shasta is doing the re-issue in sea foam, yellow and red...so sea foam maybe the way to go.

The tow vehicle is a tundra in tan metallic so need to matchie matchie.

I put the wings on and put on new lights and teardrop running lights. I have chrome two inch vinyl tape to put on.

May just polish out the trailer, add tape and then have Marti do a seafoam or mint green awning and see how it comes out.

I may call proctor's and see how much to just add the secondary color.

Hey everyone I decided to keep the trailer white. Buffed out the paint added a couple of stripes and wow!!

I had Marti make a nice awning for the Shasta. Had Tim Brown do some new flooring in the trailer and had him redo the toilet area completely. Complete, means new subdeck, flooring, flange, valve and water line. My wife loves the toilet for the midnight adventures.

The original propane frig was toast and not worth repairing or trying to find a repair person is near impossible. Went with an Ice Box and with the previous trailer burning down before our purchase my wifey was happy to have that issue not be a possibility going forward.

My brother and I made a rock guard and had it powder coated along with some other items.

The Banquet makes into a king size bed and we just love the layout. We can sleep in their with out having to climb over each other in the middle of the night!!

I put in a Plasma and a BR player and we have it all now!!

That turned out great! I like the rear door rear kitchen layout, you don’t see them as often. You got a classic camper there.

Thanks Festus!! I one time did meet Dennis Weaver on the campaign trail. He had nothing on the original.

We really love the layout on the SCS. Not having to climb over and having all that room to sleep is a big, big plus.

Like your torpedo!!
