Does anyone have any information on these campers. I brought one home this weekend and would like to find out more about it. I have tried searching online and have seen some of the regular body styles but none of this type with the loft. This camper had been gutted and I am trying to figure out what it would have looked like inside. Thanks.

Hi Jdw2717,

I haven't checked these closely, but thought they may have some useful info
for you. Here's some info fron the TCT web site:

http://mobilescoutmadness.blogspot.com/

Also, I've most often heard, what you called, the "loft" referred to as a "cab over". That
term may help you when you're looking around for more info.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Kenskill called their model with that area the "X" model. Everyone did it a little differently. Looking at your picture the trailer appears to be a 15-15 ft model. Most of those were laid out the same way with a table across the front , a bed across the back and kitchen along the street side of the trailer. However 16 ft was the breaking point for adding a toilet for some makers. That changed the layout some.

Contact Rob48. One of his early projects was completely rebuilding a Mobile Scout. He has an extensive record of what he did.

Dennis,

Thanks... but it was actually a 1948 Mobile Sportsman, much older and quite a bit different.

Pete, one of our members, did do a rebuild on a similar trailer, here is a link;
