I found this Shasta near me quite reasonable BUT I'd really like a shorter one primarily for weight. Specs say this trailer is 3130 and my Outback - with 3.6 - is listed at 2700. The exterior of trailer is in decent shape - no dents or tears - and frame looks rusty but solid.
If gutted and carefully refitted - foam and 1/8" paneling, light weight materials, go to a simpler plumbing and eliminate as much of tanks as possible, etc., is it possible to get weight to 2700 or under?
