As long as you mount it on 100# full extension guides with a tray to keep it out and away from the teardrop, it will work fine.
I've built several teardrops this way.
See my signature photo.

I'm putting one in my build. I attached with the 50# guides directly to the stove, so it will track out when the oven is running. The stove top is OK by itself, but I don't want that much heat next to the wood sides, not safe for the oven IMO. It's in my build thread somewhere.

I saw a guy who did an installation that was fixed in his galley at a meet last year. I asked about the oven heat & he said it was "well insulated" and would be fine. It was still new & had the stickers on it, so I'm not sure how that's working out for him...

according to the Camp Chef manual, the oven requires at least 12 inches of clearance on each side, and it should not be placed under any overhead construction. I have mine on a swing out shelf. The shelf comes up about 1/2 up the back of the stove, and it is under the galley hatch, but there are several feet of space between the burners and the top. I've also used it under a pop up canopy, but I would hesitate to put it under any cabinets ( or any other stove for that matter.)

I also use a barrel bolt to hold in place when traveling and cooking.
As you can see I have plenty of clearance to the lid and everything else.
A Lodge Chicken fryer will make into a Dutch oven and fits perfectly in that oven.
Great unit.

The two I have in my builds are from RV salvage operations. Both of these have a vented jacket around the unit much like double wall chimney pipe. The jacket has a 3/4+/- separation and draws cold air in at the bottom and vents at the burner height. I was tempted to add a layer of corrugated steel on the wall but with experimentation decided it was not necessary as the exterior jacket just get warm enough you can lay your hand on it.

We put ours on a heavy duty drawer slide, put corrugated metal really just to hide the sides and used sheet metal for wind protection and to shield teardrop sides. I've tried uploading a picture but it won't upload.
