Water drip in cold weather

Postby Bill n Robi » Mon Apr 17, 2017 10:05 am

So a question for those who live in colder weather then me.
Just spent a week in the eastern Sierras and it got a tad cold. I mean it was seriously cold, I had to put on long pants for the first time in 2 years... :? I noticed my water connection developed a drip between outside connection to the water hose, it went away later in the day. I did have the correct pressure regulator inline. I suspect that the washer got too cold and became hard. I did try to tighten but that did not seem to help. So the question is, does anyone make a hose washer that is better for cold weather? Are there any tricks to cold weather water connections?

thanks
