I was out in 45 degree weather Friday painting on Bug Out #2, felt like a heat wave though. I was totally comfortable.

45 degrees , that's like Summer …. It’s been a COLD winter for us all … Difficult to think of camping while teeth are chattering … :o
We who are sub-tropically acclimated are somewhat Reptillian … When it gets COLD , we slow down to a stop … :frightened:

Finally starting to warm up here (60’s) … but alas, that brings the Rain … If I could pick one innovation as absolutely necessary , I’d pick “Drip Edges” … we’ll Never build another trailer without them …

Now almost 4 years Living Outside (uncovered) … Ready to go in a day … Something to be said for this canvas over foam … ;)

Awaiting the really nice Spring weather … ( along with everyone else ) This year we’re going to give the old FS a good going over … There’s nothing we know of that needs but only minor attention .. ( those Ants holes… again ) :o )
Plus we’ve been looking around for some larger Windows… Even just one larger window would do it ..The small windows were nice but they just don’t let any of the view in ...
And it sure would be Nice to Lower it a bit … We’re really limited by the floor now , but it doesn’t seem that hard to box in some wheel wells and drop the whole thing several inches … It handles/tows just fine , but we’re getting old and it’s more difficult to climb up into something … Why we don't own tall trucks anymore . Image

Just seems time to go over and update the whole thing a little … since it’s lasted this long already without any problems ( except those darn ants) we’re more confident in throwing a little more "Fix -up" in it . Without adding a lot of weight ...

* And in reality, we’re finally getting rid of the trashed small boat trailer in the yard ,we’re going to cut it up and get my helper to haul it off… seems a shame , the frame is still good but the wheel hub on one side is pretty rusted away and that might be why nobody wants it … but that leaves the other good one ( the Dilly) , the original one that never got used … till now  Still acquiring materials for a Zephyr type build … ( Not a Standy, not Huge ) With all we’ve learned from everybody here it should really all come together in this next build .

I keep my eyes on these ebay sellers. I can usually get some great deals here. Just make sure you read through the descriptions closely. Some are surplus new, some are take offs and some are salvaged units. Some come with screens and inside garnish and some do not.

Bont Surplus: https://www.ebay.com/usr/bontsurplus?_t ... 7675.l2559
Tristates Surplus: https://www.ebay.com/usr/tristatesurplu ... 7675.l2559

GPW - I have a big window. About 6 feet long and 2 feet high. If you want to pay the shipping you can have it no charge. Let me know. Heres a link to a pic from Craigslist. https://syracuse.craigslist.org/rvs/d/r ... 33556.html
