I have never used the spray bomb stuff, only the epoxy by ppg- 40yrs in autobody repair.... zinc chromate primer best invention since gravy.... :D and since you are close to ocean there is salt in the air.....

Well, I take that back, weld-thur primer is zinc chromate and used tons of that.

When my friend made a set of aluminium fenders I went down to Home Depot, ours has a fairly large nut and bolt section. They sell aluminum screws, so no galvanic corrosion. I thought they would be soft and strip easily so was careful installing them, no problem so far and they are holding up well.

Hugh, tha’t’s Good to know ..... we haven’t tried Al screws in many years .... :thinking:
