Thanks, Mike.

OK, thought I would show how I deal with two different 'glues' on this side canvas application. Gripper for flashing & canvas, TB II for foam & canvas.

- First I stick push pins on the upper edge foam, roll back the canvas, exposing the alcohol cleaned flashing
- apply the Gripper onto the flashing instead of TB II .
- Flip the canvas down the side & position it
- Massage the canvas onto the wet Gripper paint,
- Wait a while for the Gripper to dry.

Then I apply the TB II as usual, do the edges, trim, fold over, etc., as usual.

OK.... time to go put the TB II on - wish me luck !!

EDIT: Bah, thunderstorm stole my light - to be continued tomorrow...

Thanks, GPW, making progress this week.

Now I have the rest of the right side done including all trimming, edges, tucking, bobbing & weaving :R :R OK, I do have some more trim work to do with the unraveled thread (seems to work better once glue is dry).

Lots of pix, so two post since only 3 attachments per post (weird rule):

Finished all the vertical (sides) surfaces today. Tomorrow I do the roof & top of front angle with one piece of canvas if all goes well. Any time left over will be working on all doors.

And last one for today:

Thanks for the comments. I am mostly pleased with the dry-wall fairing techniques but there are many places where my screwups still exceed the forgiving nature of a foamie  Still early days and I have already noticed a couple of fingertip sized bubbles. Those should iron out hopefully.

The back door support posts look like crap atm and will need to work on the canvas overlaps but if the effort is made, should be able to get closer to approach a fiberglass smooth finish. As long as a quick rinse with a hose will remove the road dust, I will be satisfied even if it isn't all shiny-pretty.

Finished the roof canvassing other than the fan cutout edge overlap and back overhang; that's going to take some time & patience so will save that for tomorrow.

Will be sanding and fairing out all the canvas edges that show so well on these photos. Hopefully not too many bubbles to deal with.

Thanks for all the comments. GPW, it's fun until the bubbles pop or the little details get messed up (corner overlaps come to mind). Then it's just tedious and sometimes frustrating.

Completed trimming and gluing the door edges. Decided to trim the edges so the overlaps from the two sides did not overlap each other (split down the middle of the edge - was time consuming). That might have made the door fit more tight than needed. Anyway, it looks pretty good with plenty of room for paint & gasket. The door will stick out a bit to give the 1/8" gasket some room and since it is now slightly deeper than 1.5 inch (canvas x 2). There is a very slight warp in the top right corner (~ 1/16" - 1/8") - might leak because of it if I can not adjust the fit well.

Found some bendable white vinyl "L" molding that I plan to use as a over door/window drip rail. Will add a pic of it later.
