I was watching a talk show this morning ....The gentleman was describing the current state of affairs , on who runs what and who profits from it ... and I thought to myself ... Orwell was right , only a few years late... We are here... we have arrived...and hardly anybody’s realized it ...yet  Read the Book !!!  Military -Industrial complex, gathering of everybody’s “information”(no privacy) , everyone on cameras, re-writing of History (saying we were descended from Monkeys :NC ) , perpetual wars going on :o .. Don’t get me started !!! That would be bad... :frightened:

We better stop here, there are other forums for this.

while it is easy to fall into a A vs. B fight, the facts are the facts, no jobs = the end of the dream for most, especially for the young, the ones who will fund your SS check.

the tide has set, hard...

if the people of this country weren't so addicted to Uncle Sugar checks, we might have some action like in Venezuela right now. 1984, Brave New World, Farhenheit 451,Agenda 21, are all based on the "social planners" dreams from the last century, so far their plans are in full swing :frightened:

OK, enough of that !!!

Had an older couple from Penn. visit on Saturday ...They came by to look at my paintings , but when they saw the FS , the questions started and I had to give them "the tour" . Went around showing them everything, explaining, then we went inside ... They were most impressed !!! She loved the ”moon roof” , and he was impressed how “Solid” (his word) it was... 8)
Progress... although the weather has been much warmer lately , it continues to be rainy... :rainy: Tonight is band practice so I’ll get to talk to my friend about that welding ... hopefully this week ...but no rush now ...the next week is Mardi Gras , and I don’t want to get caught with a trailer in “parade” traffic... :frightened:

   Maybe ??? But there are “truck parades “ :o ... maybe sneak in the back ? ... I can see the headlines now ... “Foamie' Camper arrested for impersonating a Float” ... Further Police investigation revealed the camper contained 500lb. of Beer, and a small bag of potato chips ...

I'll be celebrating in my own way. Bought my annual can of coffee and chicory. I'm already half way through it.

At the Grocery , I was seriously drawn to the King Cakes display (drool ) but decided it wasn’t on my Diet ... :(

Re : Coffee... In my travels in other parts of the country , we’ve had people bring us a pot of coffee that was so weak ,you could see through ....I tell them to take it back and run it through again ... Here we just cut off a slice and put it in a cup .... (Strong coffee, balanced by Chicory) :coffee:

King Cake? Never heard of that in Idaho. But I doubt if you have heard of Potato Fudge either.

 OK so looking at the recipes it says you can't taste the taters so what's the reason they are in there, I mean I'd try it but still just kind of lost as to making it over regular fudge.
