Nobull, Welcome to Foamieland !!! … Since you already read everything , you know as much as we know and are READY to build !!! 8) So Good Luck , and help is here when you need it …
Many designs of Vardo’s … They are very COOL … Lots of potential for lightweight decoration ( paint ) … You have something particular in mind ?

Great Thrifty find with those sheets , they should give you a nice smooth finish …

Check this one if you haven't already. One of the larger foamies.
And well documented.

Thanks for the welcome!

Glen was thinking paint and trim it out with the faux wood paint to look like a regular Vardo. :D

Me&z thanks that is a really nice build,

Rob , I don’t know …I’m just the doorman … “ Good Morning !!! Welcome to Foamieland !!! “ ...

The fire must have resulted from all the Friction created by trying to assemble trailers way too Fast … :R Or it was an RV refrigerator , like all the many RV fires reported… :duh:

Glad there were no injuries … and I’m sure they’re well insured eh ? Now they get a new factory better adapted to their new market …

I wonder how you start a Flood ? :NC

Umm, '50 of 60 employees laid off on the morning of the fire?' Maybe I'm too much of a cynic, but, suspect sabotage, much? Plenty of disgruntled people who know exactly where to light the fuse (thinking 55 gal drums of spray adhesive make a pretty good "explosion" when they go up in flames).

Re: quarter round drip edge. The fabric will shrink away/out of any inside corner, so you would have to wrap the Qtr Rnd first and then glue/seal it onto the main panel. If you try to fasten/glue the Qtr Rnd onto the bottom edge of the wall and then wrap it with fabric, when the fabric shrinks it will pull away from the inside corner leaving an air pocket, not only looking bad, but leaving a void where moisture issues can attack (ala GPW's experience on Foamstream).

I experienced this issue while experimenting with PMF on my hatch's license plate recess.

KC , Great to hear from you …. how’s it going ???

I did really mean to imply they did it on purpose … :R The RV industry is really a Dirty Business … reading any non factory RV forum , it’s easy to understand why … Owning a RV confirms it … :duh:

These are pricy but I'm seriously impressed that they think outside the box and really spacious and loaded and light. www.trailmanor.com

I think the TrailManor is kind of a brilliant design in terms of aerodynamics, weight and useable space. I have wondered about doing one DIY in foam. Buy a used pop up camper for the base with all the necessary appliances (cheap) and then redo the top in this design in foam.

Or to do the whole thing from scratch. But I wonder how hard it would be to recreate that hardware for the lift? On one level it seems it might be simple, especially given the weight of a foamie top. On the other hand, nothing is ever as simple as I want, grin....

Yes, I wish a variety of reliable pop-top hardware kits were availble.
