This is not a Foamie trailer that has been built but a pair of foam
based dog houses.

I'm putting it here to have the method they used available for view.
It's basically 2in foam, silicone caulk/glue, sheet metal exterior,
3/8 cedar board interior and foil tapes for foam edge/joint sealing.
Not necessarily elegant but it looks like it works.

Hi all Foamlings,

Here's a link to a hybrid Foamie in the Build Journals section:

"Frank's dog House"
viewtopic.php?f=50&t=49484&start=15

He's using an inside out construction method of interior plywood
paneling, wood framed perimeter openings, @2in foam, glue and
bedsheet exterior covering, paint over that.

He's quite far along with it also.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo

My build should qualify as a Foamie in progress.
See the link in my signature.

Wow! Way to much chatter for a collection of builds thread, IMO most of this belongs in the big thrifty thread. Otherwise I'll have to make another index thread for this one
My build album is here http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=64918

A foamie by any other name...

Here is a link to my build, though I have nothing really to show yet.

I've only just scratched the surface withal the information I have read. But I am totally onboard. 8)

I've one project ahead of this one, and it is helping to keep a rein on my zeal and enthusiasm. b/c those two things will get a body in trouble

Very nice , a Utility trailer , and you can build it over the “cage" to make it 6’ wide or more ... ;) 87048

I have to tell you, I was almost asleep last night and woke up with a small brainstorm. I got to thinking how I could completely enclose the trailer and inevitably use the rails as supports/seat/bench, and I ended up with an idea that looked a lot like your FoamStream.

Imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Still in my design and $cost$ phase...

PW, the design phase is the most Fun , because anything is possible ... Gives you time to think about what you really need and want  ... and time to look around for what you can “salvage” for the build ( that keeps the costs down ) ... ;)

Foamie Compact builder??

OK...I think I'm in a more appropriate spot now. I am about to start working on the TTT for the afternoon. I wanted to throw out a few things to update y'all and to run a few things by you to make sure I'm not doing anything totally off the wall.
I guess my "official" start date was Mar 14, 2017.

I'm currently living in Clarksburg, West Virginia. I just started to build a "Compact" out of the design library. I plan to make it a foamie to reduce weight.
I have a HF trailer that I lengthened so my TTT could have a total (outside) footprint of 6' X 12'. 12" of that is actually over the "A" portion of the trailer. I have also extended and reinforced the tongue.
My plan for today is to:
1) Put additional coats on the bottom of the floor, so I can flip it and start going up!!
2) Glue my walls to the correct size.
3) Purchase canvas to cover my walls! I found some 11 1/2 X 14 1/2 in 8oz and 10 oz. I am leaning towards getting the 8oz. Any objections (why)?

4) Consider a name for her.....
