If I may offer myself as an example of a Fool … All that time I had months ago to paint the roof on the FoamStream … Well, we’re already well into Hurricane season , already had a serious storm , and I STILL haven’t painted the roof as yet. Since then a little mold and dirt have accumulated on the Gripper , so we’ll have to clean that all over again , making more work that could have been avoided ... And now it’s been raining Every day , so we don’t have an opportunity to do anything … yet … :rainy:

Moral of the story …. Don’t put things off , only makes more work later !!! :duh:

Still raining , I’ll have to rent a garage or barn for a couple days to get the painting done … This rain every day is getting old … :rainy: That says a lot for a trailer that can fit in a garage … An oversize outside trailer must live outside … in whatever weather passes by ...

Bonnie , thanks for your concern … Looks like we’ll be “sheltering in place” .. A good bit of the storm (Harvey) is west of us ( for now ? ) and it looks like we’ll just get rain , which is no surprise as it’s rained All summer… But I pray for those poor people in Texas :worship: …. That’s gonna' make Katrina look like a minor inconvenience.. :frightened:

Bonnie , How are you doing ? Got that trailer ready ?

Still working away at the trailer. Retiring was a good decision for me. I am poorer, but much happier. Hope to camp before snow flies

Most remarkably , it’s going to be DRY this weekend … :o So if I can get in touch with my helper , we’ll get that Foam Stream top paint work done … FINALLY !!! (Fingers crossed )
And we did have an inspiration to make a drip edge for the front , came to me in a Dream after eating late night Pizza , a Canvas drip edge, waterproofed , painted to match , and that 18 oz. canvas gets pretty stiff once painted … ( and we Have it already ;) ) But we must comment that the existing Gorilla Tape and aluminum tape combination has worked admirably keeping the underneath DRY … I’m thinking maybe a roll of Gorilla tape should be a part of every Foamie road repair kit. Regular Duct tape would have been Dust tape by now .

My helper is coming over today and if the weather holds out we'll FINALLY get to paint the top of the FS … Stupid weather ,it’s rained all summer …

My lesson learned, don’t procrastinate . Paint while the sun shines ...

The proof … 150890

Now we can start on the Ant damage , some “patching" is required , a good test of our Foamie repair kit … ;)

You've got to admit you've been ahead of the curve since you built it... looks great though!

Thanks Ned , we’ve been Lucky , but I don’t expect that to hold out forever… We can see storms have become predictably more intense ( for whatever reason we care to believe or not  ) Now I’m really thinking we need a Foamie Boat too ... :o There just seems to be no end to being prepared ...

just build a boat platform under the foam stream. Best of both worlds.
