Is there room enough to turn the light/bracket over and mount the plate over the light? That would be the least work.

I considered doing that on The Briq, but the stop lens specifically said 'This Side Up'. I suppose that could have been to help make sure people put it on the street side, but I considered that it might also have something to do with the lens optics; so I mounted it with the plate down... and now the plate is bent up from hitting the ground when the bed was tilted for loading.

Oh well.

KC looking all over for just the right little light for the l plate .... found nothing .. :( Nothing cool anyway ... So for right now (this season) I’m just going to use the provided bracket and light and soft mount the plate to the bracket so it may swing away (hopefully) if hit by something ... Easiest thing I can think of to do now ... The plate still has 8” of clearance to the road ...And am going to make a little safety chain for it too , attached to the trailer frame , so if something knocks it off , we won’t lose it completely ... We’ll just keep an eye out for that “certain” light for later on ...
And it’s waaay too HOT out now to do any “custom” work :sweaty: ... I can’t believe I built this thing last summer in all the heat ... (what an Idiot !!!   :duh: )

Here's the one that I bought and plan to use; same as the pillow lights inside the cabin. I have the amber ones in the same fixture that I plan to use for porch lights, and they have a separate listing in a red light, same chrome fixture, that I installed for the night vision light inside the cabin.

superbrightleds.com

edit: I like them because they are small and have a retro look to them. For the price, the quality seems very good... so far at least.

KC the link went to SuperBrightLED but had an error. Do you have a model number?

Thanks for pointing that out, Bonnie. I think I slipped a digit on the cut and past (damned touch pad sensitivity thing). The basic part number is LPC-x-W2 but I think that gets refined as you select lamp and trim colors.

I think I fixed the link in the above post, so if you or someone could try that, I would be greatful.

Here you go! And it's pretty cheap too. http://www.eztsk.com/LicensePlateBracket.html

Might need to drill the plate, but that is easy enough.

Checking the FS suspension, looked under the trailer to see if the wheels bottomed out any time during the extended shakedown cruise ... Everything looked untouched on the street side , but there was a little rub mark on the floor undercoating on the curb side , done likely when I hopped that curb (turning too short) and bounced the FS into the air .. :frightened: It’s not bad at all , not even taking the undercoating off , just a scuff really ... If we make it through this Hurricane season OK , in the late fall , we’re going to change out the old springs, bushings etc. for new stuff (old stuff is rusted :NC ) ... and add an extra inch to the suspension height too... ;)
And learning to make wider turns...
And although I was concerned about those little Wal mart tires , they did just fine ... Figured out each tire was only seeing half the weight of what it was rated for ... Bought a spare just like the other ones.

Hot day today !!! :sweaty: Spent a good part of the day working on my self watering container garden ... Getting ready for that Fall crop of fresh produce... :D From what already got out of it , I already paid for the stuff (at grocery store prices) ... 8) Sure glad I’m not building a trailer outside this year .. !!!!! :frightened:

Now , time for some “treats"... must be 5:00 o’clock somewhere?

Ps. these are yesterday’s pics , I added some Earth boxes today ...
