Joe, which antenna ? You have any more information ... ? maybe a pic.

The antenna I installed is a Winegard Hide-a-Way. The first picture shows the "up" position andf the second shows the antenna ready for traveling.
I have the coax cable tucked in the refrigerator vent area and pull it out and hook it up when needed.

Dumb things you do...when I put the antenna on my camper, I needed to remove the refrigerator vent so I could see where I was running the cable.
I forgot to put the vent cover back on. I was hyper-focused on the antenna.
While getting ready to go camping this past weekend, I tried to light the pilot light on the fridge and couldn't get it to light.
Figured I check it out later, got to the campsite, hooked up the electricity, turned the fridge on, everything was working good, sat down to enjoy a good book.
The fridge kept nagging me....why wouldn't the pilot light work? When I was looking at the camper from my chair, I noticed the missing vent cover!
Now I suspect a little bit of rust might be in the pilot light tube.
Something else to fix and I can't blame it on anyone but me.
The antenna worked though.

Tore the fridge burner apart, found a spider web. Now I'll put everything back together and see how it works.

Crisis averted, the fridge works just fine. Now I need a replacement cover and all's well.

Joseph I have to apologize to you because @ CRA I never came thru and met you and your wife and took a look @ your wonderful trailer! I sat up from 12-1am this morning reading your build and enjoyed it. Next year I should be starting my build #2 and it will be a foamie canned ham with a bath in it, so when I start I may send you some messages with questions if you don't mind. I plan on having it finished before 2015 CRA. Hope to see you again in 2 years there!

Cliff, we talked about a bath, but it's a pretty small trailer. One option was to have a slide out potty drawer, but we finally decided that neither one of us wanted to deal with any kind of "potty clean-up".
Good luck with your build. I've always said that building was almost as fun as using the trailer.

Good news and not-so-good....I checked the trailer yesterday and there is some loosening at the edges of the canvas (around 12 inches total) That's the bad, the good is that it's an easy fix, I peeled up the canvas and pushed some PL glue under the canvas and all is fixed. I'll touch up the paint when the weather is better.
As an after thought, it would have been much better to use tightbond to glue the canvas down and not rely on paint to do the holding. I have glued several spots where the edges came loose, once glued I have no problems. Tightbond would be my recommendation for initial canvas attachment.
The paint held up great, I'm ready for camping.

Joe , sounds like an Easy fix, and suggests that the area might have been “glue starved” ... We have gone back and re-glued canvas edges in the building process.. Adding Thick TB2 to make sure there is enough glue on the edges ... That was important with our really Thick canvas... We wanted it there .. Forever...

GPW, it wasn't exactly "glue starved" I didn't use glue. In hindsight, not the best idea. I thought the paint on the foam/wood then putting the canvas on the wet paint and then painting the canvas would secure the canvas. It didn't hold as well as I had hoped. I'm OK now with the edges glued. It's a good lesson should there be another build.

Joe , we tried that with the Gripper and that didn’t work as well as the glue either ... TB2 still the best for sticking down the canvas, and other things too ...

I am glad that I painted the trailer with color and not white. The edge coming loose showed white. (the base color) White is my "failed edge" indicator. I think I've glued most of the edges , but I'll be vigilant for any more edge problems.

Good you have that “indicator" ... You may want to carry along a repair kit (bottle of Glue and a cheap brush ) , just in case...
